How They Met: We met through a mutual co-worker in the summer of 2008. Some might call it a blind date. We met for drinks, and five hours later, we knew it was something special.

The Proposal: Brian proposed on his 30th birthday weekend. We went to lunch at a restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, and he proposed by the Potomac River. I couldn't get a hold of my parents, because he had secretly arranged for them to travel from Philly to DC as a surprise. We went to the Ritz to have celebratory drinks, and our parents were waiting there to greet us. It was such a thoughtful surprise!
