How They Met: We were set up through Dave's sister-in-law. I was working a part-time job at Home Depot while going to school. I was working in the call center, which is off limits to customers. Dave wanted to meet me, so he came right into the booth and kissed my hand and introduced himself. He made me laugh so I agreed to go on a date with him.
The Proposal: Dave had originally planned to propose when we went on a helicopter tour of the city, but I had made plans for the next week to go tour a winery. He thought that would be more romantic. Last minute, we couldn't go to the winery because he was called into work. He asked me to pick a restaurant last minute for a romantic dinner and figured he'd surprise me with his proposal a day before his original plan. When we got to the restaurant, we were unaware of a dress code and not allowed to enter. Luckily the doorman to the building saw our dilemna and offered to make reservations for us at another location. We ended up getting the 4 star treatment at Del Frisco's. While there, Dave pretended to go to the restroom and pulled aside our waitress. He arranged to have a dessert plate of strawberries read "Marry Me" come out after our meal. He even slipped his cell phone to the waitress to tape the proposal. It all worked out in the end.
