Wedding Date: August 11, 2012 in Gloucester, MA

How They Met: Adam and I met at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was the resident running the Surgical ICU and I was a fourth year medical student at Jefferson. We spent many hours together on call and quickly became friends. I was lucky to match at TJUH for my Ob/Gyn residency and we have been together ever since!

The Proposal: We were visiting my family in Massachusetts and had some last minute, Christmas-eve shopping to do. After finishing our shopping, Adam lured me out to a nearby lighthouse, one of my favorite places near my hometown, to take in the view of the ocean and the park in the snow. While we were walking on the cliff, he said he had a Christmas present for me, dropped to one knee, and gave me his Grandmother's diamond ring! It was perfect! I said yes and after I stopped crying we went home to celebrate with my waiting family.
