Wedding Date: August 31, 2012 in Ballroom at the Ben

How They Met: Despite his hatred for Facebook and social networking Amer was randomly looking at pictures of a friends wedding until he saw Tulip's picture on her profile page. After being intrigued by her immediate beauty he engaged in his first ever Facebook stalk, befriending her twice only to get ignored. He asked their mutual friend about Tulip and she arranged a meeting between the two. They eventually met for a romantic first date at the lovely Chickies and Petes in the northeast. He thought she was a sucker for rooting for the Eagles over the Phillies, and she thought he was odd for eating off her plate and sharing her bar stool. Nonetheless they fell for each other immediately and have been together ever since!

The Proposal: Regardless of the distance that has plagued our relationship Amer wanted to let Tulip know that he would forever be committed to her. After a romantic dinner in the heart of DC they took a stroll along the National Mall. It was a crystal clear night with the moon shining bright. When they got to the Washington Monument there was not a person around. They were in the heart of the nation with not a sole in sight. Amer simply got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. She said yes of course and they spent the next 15 minutes slow dancing alone next to one of the most recognizable monuments in the world.
