Wedding Date: June 20, 2014

How They Met: We met at a law school party. I still remember calling my mom en route to the party--complaining about how I did not like to go out on Fridays, how I was tired, and all I wanted to do was sleep. She assured me there were worst things than going to a party and that I should try to have a a good time. I am so grateful I went--because I ended up meeting Cody that night--and we have been dating ever since. While we both students at Temple Law--we had somehow not met until that party ! Whenever my sister or friends do not want to go somewhere or do something--this is my go to anecdote that you never know what will happen!

The Proposal: During this past fall, Cody and I began watching Friends, starting from Season 1. One of my favorite scenes of all time is where Monica proposes to Chandler/Chandler proposes to Monica in the apartment covered in white candles. I cannot watch it without reaching for a Kleenex. The Eve of Christmas Eve, Cody told me we had to go walk our two dachshunds, Rusty and Timber. It was dark and freezing, and I am certain I had a few choice words regarding his sanity. When we came back to our apartment, it was covered in beautiful white candles. I assumed the apartment had caught fire during our wintry excursion. In my confusion I turned to Cody for help, but he only had to offer me a small box and some exceedingly kind words from down on one knee. My family snuck in (with the help of our landlady) to light the candles--and they were waiting for us at the bar we had met in during law school. We then had dinner at the restaurant where we had our first date!
