Megan and Ben were married in the Gazebo on the beautiful Fairmount Park grounds of the The Waterworks on September 19, 2009. The Art Museum of Philadelphia stood as a backdrop behind the event as the bride came down the isle. The sun set over the Schuylkill River, serving as their marriage ceremony. With such great natural and architectural scenery, decorations hardly existed, which was the force that drove the couple to fall in love with the Waterworks as a wedding location. The cocktail hours was immediately after, right on the river and it lasted till the sun completely fell. The reception was inside the Waterworks restaurant in their main dining room. The band set up in front of the running waterfall in the main room and guests could dance, mingle and enjoy the scenery. Centerpieces on the tables were a favor that each guest could take home. They were constructed as paper cones to resemble small French bouquets. In the bouquet instead of flowers there were surprise M&M's. On the tables also sat small tea lights. Very minimalist and useful in the same. The couple danced their first song to Sea of Love by Cat Power in which the female vocalist learned just for them.
