Kaitlyn and Ryan met on a Sunday evening in May 2006 at a quaint restaurant in New Hope, Pennsylvania. They were both out with friends and Ryan approached Kaitlyn and they hit it off right away. Kaitlyn was originally from Yardley and Ryan from Glasgow, Scotland. Ryan had been recruited to play on the Temple Menís Soccer team in 2004. They continued their relationship long-distance while Ryan finished his Bachelor of Science degree at Temple University and Kaitlyn finished her Masterís degree in teaching at James Madison University. A year later, Kaitlyn moved back to the area and their relationship grew. In September of 2008, Ryan took Kaitlyn back to their favorite town in which they met, New Hope, for a romantic getaway and proposed. Their families were absolutely delighted and they planned their wedding for July 11, 2009. The wedding day was by far the most incredible day of Kaitlyn and Ryanís lives. It began flawlessly for Kaitlyn at her parentís home in Yardley. The hair dresser and make-up artist both came to the house and Kaitlyn, her mom, and all of the bridesmaids relaxed and enjoyed the morning. It was truly surprising how calm everyone was! Meanwhile, Ryan and the groomsmen men at Saint Rita's of Cascia Catholic Church in Philadelphia to prepare for the arrival of the Kaitlyn and the bridesmaids. Ryan and the groomsmen wore the traditional Scottish kilts and the bridesmaids wore dusty rose colored dresses that matched their cravats. After a beautiful ceremony, Kaitlyn and Ryan enjoyed taking pictures in Rittenhouse Square and at Love Park. Before they knew it they were entering the stunning Grand Ballroom at the Bellevue. The extravagant cocktail hour hosted an Asian station, Italian Station, and plenty of butlered hors díoeuvres. A highlight of their night was dancing to their first dance song, "Only you can love me this way," by Keith Urban. Every guest thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner that came next consisting of sea bass and filet mignon. The band was such a hit that every guest danced until the night ended. Even after the band left, guests lingered and sang and then continued to an after party at the Park Hyatt's Nineteen Bar and Lounge. Kaitlyn, Ryan, their families and friends have many unforgettable memories from their beautiful wedding day.
