Since 2005, this bakery has been whipping up sugary confections that are both pretty and mouth-­wateringly tasty. Bring anything that inspires you to your private tasting and consultation — pictures of to-die-for cakes, patterns, fabrics, color swatches — and they’ll work with you to sketch a completely custom cake (no leafing through a binder of standard designs). You’ll also get to nosh on cupcakes in up to eight flavors (like chocolate with raspberry buttercream, or rich red velvet). They specialize in fondant-covered ­creations, and can also craft cupcake towers, a fresh twist on the traditional tiered cake. Prices start at $3 per person.
