My wife and I fell for his act. It was almost 3 years before we got our album. He is so rude and nasty, we can't believe he is still in business. We too threatened legal action. His pictures are ok, we were not blown away with the images - out of a couple hundred pictures we thought 4 or 5 were really good. We do not have any pictures from our cocktail hour and he did not catch the emotion in any of the pictures. Everything is staged and it is all about Jerry, not you. Unless you want your album years later, to be ripped off and given headaches - then Jerry Tomko is your guy.

We were so excited to look back on our wedding day with beautiful pictures and an album...it did not happen! Eventually, after 2 years of pleading and begging we received our album (only after threatening legal action). It put a damper on the memory of our day! He takes a great photo, but sadly his rudeness and lack of professionalism can hinder your experience-not to mention his refusal to provide a product!

We got married in the summer of 2009... Jerry took wonderful photos that day... Down side he never brought our engagement album to the reception.. Saw that album 2 years later and it was a joke.
Payed top dollar for wedding album and still don't have it.
Never responds to email or phone calls.

My daughter and son in law just got their albums 3 years after their wedding. They paid up front and in full prior to wedding. Ablums were nothing special in my opinion..... he was a huge dissapointment.
DO NOT USE HIM!

Like the subject line says four years have passed and my husband and I still have nothing to show for the thousands and thousands we paid Jerry in full 6 months prior to our wedding! Yes the pics we saw were amazing, however what can I do with a box of proofs. It makes me sick to think of our hard earned money pretty much being burnt. We have no word on our album and who knows if we will ever see it...we are now seeking legal council as a last resort. Usually we do not do things like that but we have no choice now. There is no excuse for this type of behavior...it is lying and stealing and for those terrible wrong doings only karma will repay Jerry tomko, I only wish to him that he is shown in life the same as to what he has shown us! Please find another photographer there are many great ones out there!

We are so upset that we chose Jerry for our photos. Our wedding was two years ago and we still do not have our album. He is horrible with responding. DON'T be fooled in the beginning. He is a good sales man and that's about all he is good at. He gives excuse after excuse. Please read the reviews and take them serious. We read the same reviews and spoke to Jerry about this. He told us this would not happen to us. Please do not use him. you will regret it. We even paid him for more pages in our album. He gets paid for all services in full and does not produce the work. Let me be clear, I am writing this because I am SO UPSET. I have NEVER in 33 years complained about anyone on a blog or website. I STILL DO NOT have my album.

Please take my advice and DO NOT use this photographer. My husband and I heard a lot of rumblings about how bad he was during the photographer selection process and decided to ignore them but BOY, were those people right. Jerry Tomko is absolutely horrific to work with and hands down the worst decision we made during our wedding planning. It has been two years since we got married, and our album is nowhere in sight. Jerry does not reply to our calls or emails and the only contact we have with him is the out of office emails we receive as a bounce back when we write to him, usually from several weeks prior and with a lame excuse as to why he is not in the office. We paid all of the money up front and now we have nothing to show for it. Even more, on our wedding night he disappeared and had an absolutely horrendous attitude with my family. Please do yourself a favor and listen to me and all of the other true reviews on here. I have to believe that the positive reviews you will find are all friends of Jerry, paid by Jerry or Jerry himself.
He is horrible. Period.

My Husband Joe & I were married June 23rd 2012, we hired Jerry to be our photographer, best decision we ever made! I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked and how handsome Joe looked in our pictures, which by the way we had our proofs back within a week (I believe) after we came home from our honeymoon! Looking at my wedding pictures for the first time and seeing myself looking flawless, like something out of a magazine, is a moment I'll never forget- I'll always have Jerry to thank for that.
Jerry is such a nice guy, willing to work with you and cater to your needs/wants..He definitely made the day less stressful with his easy-going & funny personality..but also, the man knows what he's doing!! Getting our pictures done after the wedding ceremony was actually one of the highlights of our day-we had so much fun! Everything just flowed smoothly..Joe & I couldn't be happier. People are STILL talking about how wonderful our photographer was! If you want a good photographer with pictures that will take your breath away..Pick Gerard Tomko!

My first introduction to Gerard Tomko and his photography was through my wife's best friend. Her wedding photos were amazing, and my wife and I told ourselves that he would be the photographer at our wedding. The big day arrived only to find the "once in a lifetime" storm had knocked the power out at the resort where the reception was to take place. Enter Jerry Tomko. Jerry was not only a calming influence on the bride, but also the whole bridal party. His experience and expertise were invaluable in making the day go smoothly. Both him and his assistant were extremely professional and easy to work with. Per Jerry's suggestion, the bride and I went offsite to the Atlantic City boardwalk and Steel Pier where he took some of the most amazing photos I've seen.
Working with Jerry was a magical experience and I highly recommend him to be the photographer for your next event.

We have had similar issues just like others that wrote in. First couple of times we met, Jerry was nice, charming and personable. After our wedding which was 2 years ago and counting we still do not have our album. He does not return phone calls and emails and when you do get him on the phone its the album companies fault and he is very rude. He can't even give a date for when we will receive it. We paid for a service and we do not have our product - I would never recommend him to anyone.

My husband and I recently used jerry as our photographer, I booked him two years in advance only because I know how fast he books up and I had to have him. It was one of the best choices I made. Jerry and I got to really know eachother threw the whole process that I feel he's about of our family. Any time I called he was right there, and email , he wrote right back to me, anything I requested he did, he understood what I was looking for in my pictures and Jerry definitely delivered that. Jerry was patient with my husband and myself , and my family . Jerry is a great guy / photographer . I love my pictures and we are very thrilled with everything jerry did for us. I would highly recommend jerry tomko to anyone and everyone .

As VERY recent clients of Jerry's, we have to say, we were more than pleased with Jerry & his photography. Jerry has a true gift and passion for what he does and it's obvious in all that he does for his bride & groom on the day of their wedding. From his punctuality to his efficiency, despite a LONG list of family photos, Jerry was prompt, courteous and proactive. Even when we suggested shooting at FDR Park in South Philly, Jerry took it upon himself to scout the park weeks in advance in order to determine the best locations for our wedding shoot! Overall, we were more than pleased and impressed by our photos and have even joked about hiring Jerry to do random photo shoots for us throughout the years! He's a true talent with a big heart; work with him and he'll work with you!

Jerry did an amazing job at capturing our wedding in a way that will make our special day last forever. I got married on January 14th at the Curtis Center and during our reception Jerry already created a picture slideshow of the images he had taken during the day which was such a treat for our guests. The next day Jerry had already made a video of our images to music which was a wonderful send off to have prior to our honeymoon. On January 27th, we were shocked when Jerry sent us an email that our proofs were waiting for us to view. We scheduled with Jerry for the pickup and couldnt believe that he had all our proofs printed and waiting for us in a beautiful photo box with an image of us on the top along with our names and the date of our wedding. We are in the process of creating our album and cant wait to see the finished product. My husband and I do not enjoy getting our pictures taken but Jerry made us feel so comfortable while giving great direction on how to pose to make the pictures look beautiful.

Jerry was the photographer of two of my good friend's weddings prior to mine and so this is a review based on my experience as a wedding guest, maid of honor, and a bride.
His #1 concern is what his client wants, and he makes sure he gets every possible photo he "sees" and that you want. Regardless of your role in the wedding, Jerry was professional and comforting a pleasure to work with. His ideas for photographs are innovative and original. In considering all three sets of photographs (mine, and my two friends), I can honestly say that while all of them were exceptional, they were also unique in their own way. If you are looking for something artistic, memorable, and of exceptional quality, look no further than Jerry!
Thank you, Jerry, for making our wedding day so special and for capturing memories that will last a lifetime!

I am responding directly to the woman who actually had the nerve to state that Jerry used cancer as an excuse for being just plain rude..... are you kidding me?? Ive never heard a more absurd statement, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Gerard Tomko photographed my wedding November 2007. Everything about their service was impeccable, from the quality of the photographs to the professionalism of the entire staff. I have recommended him to several friends, who then hired him, and every one of them was equally as happy with his service and his product.
FYI, Jerry was just newly diagnosed with stomach cancer and starting treatment somewhere between contracting to shoot our wedding and the day of the event. While he felt it important that he disclose this info, he also assured me that it would not affect his service...and it did not. As a nurse, I am well aware of the hardship and toll that cancer has on an individual and their families. Yet Gerard Tomko Photography didnt miss a beat. Clearly the selfish woman that wrote that comment is ignorant to the realities of cancer, and is in for a very rude awakening when she finds herself or someone she loves inflicted with the same diagnoses, as cancer does not discriminate, and we are all fair game. SHAME ON YOU.

I would never recommend another photographer than Jerry Tomko. He was amazing. He knew exactly the style of photography I wanted and made that happen with ease. He was more than pleasant the entire day (and it was a very long day) and was very intuned with my stress level as he knew immediately when I needed a break from the wedding day chaos! He even edited and presented us with some photos merely hours after the wedding to show our guests and they were all very impressed. He was accomodating and professional and our day would not have been the same without him. For those who say that his photos take too long to come back, their selfishness should be embarassing. The quality and emotion of his photos speak for themselves, DESPITE the fact that he has been putting peoples' weddings first while battling cancer. Do not listen to the nagative hype, he is a wonderful photographer and I already have engaged friends who are looking to use his services!

As a bride that worked with Gerard Tomko Photography, I am really shocked by some of the glowing reviews on this site and hope folks will scroll through to read the negative ones as well which are definitely more reflective of the experience my husband and I had. We loved Jerry Tomko immediately after the initial consultation with him. It was so evident how professional and organized he was, and this was a big must considering our large bridal party and family. I felt like the photographer was one less thing I had to worry about during the wedding planning period as Jerry contacted me and kept me up-to-date before I had the chance to touch base with him. We were so confident Jerry would take fabulous photos that would capture our day and that he would get us to the cocktail hour on time :) He definately delivered on all accounts! His work is so unique and we couldn't be happier with how our pictures turned out (and we've only seen the slide show)! I was amazed at how he transformed ordinary background settings into photographs that looked like they belonged in a magazine. It was hard to believe that was us in the photos. I would highly recommend Gerard Tomko without any reservations.

When we started planning our wedding, I expressed to my husband to be how important good photographer was to me. I wanted photos that were more than just a bunch of people standing and smiling. I then found Jerry! I spoke with him on the phone and expressed that all of his brides not only look beautiful but also look like they are glowing. Each photo I saw made me think I knew the bride and groom in the photos. I then met with a few other photographers because Jerry was our of our range. When another photographer told me she would leave at 9:30 and our reception didn't end until 11 and I told her I would pay extra to have her stay she said' no the cake will be cut and we are leaving' That same day Jerry called to ask about what we were thinking. I honestly told him that I couldn't afford him and he asked what I could and said he would call me back. When he called back he told me he would give me what I wanted for the price we agreed upon; I just started to cry because I knew it was going to be amazing. Jerry delivered! We have some amazing photos of us from engagement photos to wedding day. We got married on November 25, 2011 and he worked some magic to have our proofs back to us by December 21st in time for Christmas. It was such a treat to be able to share our images with our friends and family over the holidays.

I was the MOH in my best friend's wedding in 2007. Jerry Tomko was her photographer and family friend. The pics he took were amazing, as well as the surprise slide show at the reception. I told him if I ever got married, he was my photographer.
Well, 4 years later, I was engaged. I called Jerry, and he remembered me immediately! Josh and I met with him, and booked him right away. We planned a destination wedding for the Keys and he, along with his wife, came along. Jerry took amazing pictures that blew us and our guests away! He even managed to capture a shot with my deceased brother's dogtag in the background that was so gorgeous it made me cry! You can see some previews on his blog at www.gerardtomko.com. See for yourself the products he creates.
No, Jerry is not cheap. But you get what you pay for. He is not only a photographer, he is an artist. If you are looking for unique and artistic, as well as a friendly person, he is the guy for you.
Since my wedding was only 3 weeks ago, I obviously have not gotten my pictures yet. However, I did receive multiple emails from Jerry or his staff since I arrived home. He has always responded to me by email, phone, or text within a couple of hours, at the most a day. Jerry has always been a professional with us. He even calmed me after ripping my dress while putting it on before pictures (I had to be sewed into it!).
Please take Jerry's negative reviews with a grain of salt. Meet with him, see his work, then decide for yourself. He will not disappoint.

I recently got married and used Gerard Tomko photography as our wedding photographer. Both my husband and I, are intensely glad that we did. We recently got our proofs back (only 3 weeks after the wedding!) and our families can't stop commenting on beautiful and stunning our wedding pictures are.
My experience wasn't just about the pictures though. Jerry was truly professional the day of the wedding, but more so he helped to calm my nerves by having fun during the pre-ceremony photo session. He knows how to help a bride relax and enjoy her wedding day and still get to the church and cocktail hour on time.
My husband wasn't looking forward to the photography. He had a very bad experience a couple of years ago at a friends wedding where he was a groomsman and the photographer was not professional and took hours to take a few posed pictures while all the guests waited to start dinner. But he was very pleased with Jerry and I might even say enjoyed himself during the picture portion of the day. Gerard Tomko is by far one of the greatest Wedding Photographers I've seen and we could not be more happy with the end result.
At the end of the day what Jerry really provides you with is not mere photographs but art. Honest, original art with you and your loved ones as the subjects. The best advice I can give when talking about Jerry is this: trust him! Jerry helped us to have an awesome day and captured the amazing moments so we can cherish them forever. There's nothing better than that in a wedding photographer.

Gerard Tomko Photography stands out as the only negative part of our entire wedding process. He will charm you upfront and once you have signed on the dotted line and have given all your money upfront to secure that 10% discount (which you'll need because his 'service' costs a pretty penny), it will become obvious that he is really a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Here are just a few highlights of our experience with GTP:
- Being contacted two days before our wedding to extract more money out of us or threatening not to show. We tried to work out an arrangement since we had no choice last minute, but the day of, he showed up with one less person than what we had contracted for. As a result, many important experiences were missed on film. After doing our best and shelling out a lot of money for what we thought was a quality photographer, I couldn't believe that happened to us.
- Seeing our photographer skip out on most of the reception. That's right, I have pictures from the beginning of it and the end of it, and not much in between. (Note, we did pay for him to have a hot meal for dinner and he still left).
- Being completely MIA for months after the wedding. I left polite emails, voicemails, messages for months after the wedding to ask about the status of our album. I heard nothing, except a vicious, rude response months later.
- We had to engage outside legal resources to finally resolve the issue and received our album, nearly 2 years after the wedding. Mr Tomko likes to pride himself on the fact that once he delivers, his work is perfect. It was not, I had photos that were supposed to be cropped/zoomed in on and they weren't. At this point, I physically couldn't take talking to him again because the entire experience was so painful, so I left them as is. I am considering using my digital proofs to have another album made (even though we just shelled out thousands of dollars to Mr. Tomko for the album we currently have).
- Finally, my favorite, consistently using a very serious illness like cancer as an excuse or justification for being just plain rude and taking people's hard earned money under false pretense.
Bottom line -- DO NOT BOOK WITH GERARD TOMKO. I tell every friend/acquaintance I know because I can't bear the thought of another bride going through that experience.

Jerry came highly recommended and I was excited for him to shoot my wedding day. He did not listen to my requests of where I wanted to go, but I do have to say ended up with gorgeous images. He and his team shot little of my actual reception, which was very disappointing. I paid in full for my 10% discount (which was not cheap) and was given my proofs promptly after my wedding. I explained that we were not willing to spend more money on our albums and was told, "Everyone thinks I am cheating them." That was not the case, but I simply did not want to spend anything beyond the basics. This is when the issues began....bad customer service, deleted proofs and selections, and it took more than two years for us to get our albums. If this is okay for you and you are willing to wait, Jerry will give you beautiful images. However, for someone who paid in full up front, we really expected much better customer service and professionalism.

Once he has your money, he is done with you. Maybe if you are a celebrity he pays you more attention, but not a "regular" bride. I agree that he writes his own positive reviews. We paid $10,000 for pictures and were DISAPPOINTED with all aspects: his service and photos. Consider yourself lucky if you are happy with your pictures. Our day was perfect and we do not have any good photos to show for it. His pictures are below average. Great salesman to have you sign the contract. Abrasive and rude!!! He took the same picture over and over. No creativity and so many shots we asked for were forgotten. We are waiting years for our album. He blames unhappy clients that we are crazy, unreasonable brides. We have been nothing but patient and kind. He goes months without returing phone calls and emails. He is sneaky and a liar. This is so upsetting and we want to save all future brides from this unnecessary stress. He is an awful wedding photographer and please spread the word - AVOID JERRY TOMKO PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!

We recently did a photo shoot with Gerard Tomko and weren't very impressed overall . Although he showed us some amazing albums prior to outing, we found his personality during the shoot be extremely abrassive and I'm not sure that the quality of work makes up for that. Also, as time has passed, he has back peddled on the ultimate delievery date of our photos. I'm sure the pictures will turn out OK, but if if had to do it again, we would go with some else.

Jerry was accommodating from the first time we met him. I was very concerned about having enough time to take great pictures with a very limited one hour window between our ceremony and reception. From day one Jerry assured me that he was up to the challenge and the results would not disappoint.
True to his word, Jerry was able to take amazing pictures and get us to the reception with 5 minutes to spare. I've gotten so many compliments about my proofs, especially regarding the pictures taken in this 55 minute window (which included a 10 minute commute to the reception).
Jerry has been very responsive to my questions and has met all of our deadlines. I'm looking forward to a fabulous album! I highly recommend Jerry for anyone in the process of planning a wedding.

My husband & I were married in Dec. 2010 and we are thrilled that we chose Jerry as our photographer. He was very accommodating and willing to share his wealth of wedding knowledge during the planning process. We live & were married in the Philadelphia area which he was very knowledgeable and comfortable working in the city setting. Due to his wealth of experience, he was able to suggest amazing photo locations & was able to work with whatever lighting and features were available to create beautiful photos! During our reception Jerry compiled some photos that he had taken earlier that day and created a slide show that our guests could view while eating their desserts. Everyone loved this & all of our guests were raving about our beautiful photos the remainder of the night! My husband and I absolutely LOVE our wedding pictures, we have never looked so fabulous on camera and we are so glad that we have these beautiful pictures saved forever! We were married December 18, 2010 & by the end of January we already received our proofs and have a scheduled date in early February to create our album with Jerry. Jerry posted our photos online (with password protection) that we were able to share with our family and friends which allowed them to not only view our photos but also order them. Jerry was easy to work with and I recommend him to any bride and groom looking for a amazing wedding photos!

The moment my husband and I met with Jerry and viewed his work we immediately knew he was our photographer! After hanging out with him for an hour, he felt like a member of our family, which was exactly the kind of connection we wanted in a photographer! I arrived with a list of 40 questions and Jerry was very patient and went through each and every one with me. He also allowed us to view entire sets of proofs from different weddings, which is something no other photographer shared with us. After looking through these weddings, I could immediately see that he would never just put together a portfolio of his best work like many other photographers do, because all of his images from every wedding are amazing and everyone receives outstanding quality work! Throughout the entire process, he was very responsive through both email and telephone which was a great help. The day of the wedding my hair and makeup ran over, but Jerry got us right back on schedule with pictures - putting me and my family at ease. We took amazing pictures throughout Philadelphia after our ceremony, and we all had an amazing time doing it - including our bridal party! I even made him take an extra 15 minutes of pictures because I was having so much fun I didn't want to stop and leave for the reception! Even after all of that, my husband and I made it to our ENTIRE COCKTAIL HOUR!!!
Now, you want to talk about going above and beyond...I called Jerry 2 days before my wedding to let him know that my husband's brother and best man received orders from the Navy, which unexpectedly would not allow him to return home for our wedding. Jerry worked with our band and our reception site to coordinate a speech via Skype! He was able to hook up his equipment and my husband was able to have a speech, with sound and video, from his brother over seas at our wedding! It was truly amazing and we would have never been able to do it without him.
If you want truly amazing images, excellent service and a photographer who truly cares about his clients, you want JERRY TOMKO. NO QUESTION!!! Jerry has a big heart and big talent, and when those two things collide you will be thrilled with what you see! Any bride would be extremely lucky to have him at their big day!

Gerard Tomko Photography is absolutely wonderful. He captured the style of photography that I wanted and also added his own creativity! He was very professional and fun to work with. He handled everything well and was able to navigate through all of the people in my very large wedding party quickly. From our engagement pictures to the wedding rehearsal and through the entire wedding, "excellence" was how he operated. The first time I saw our online gallery, I teared up remembering our wonderful wedding day. He managed to capture every emotion and detail. Words cannot adequately describe how thankful I am for Jerry! My husband and I thank you again for capturing the magic of our day.

His pictures are nice, but dealing with Gerald Tomko was a nightmare. And apparently, we aren't the only people that he has upset...someone set up a review site about him:

I myself have had the amazing opportunity to work with Jerry. I read over the reviews listed here and other places but to me it sounds like the same person over and over mudding his name. Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right. I sounds to me like somewhere along the line there was a person that Jerry has a misunderstanding with. I feel bad that someone would reach out with such malice all because of something that they can not get beyond. I can not imagine that they had such a horrific experience. All I know is the experience I have had with him personally. He delivers what he tells you he is going to. He doesn't quote you a price on a book until he knows exactly what YOU want. He made my day so enjoyable that family and friends commented on it and my BFF even plans to book him soon for her wedding next year. I have worked with many professional photographers over the years with modeling and none have compared in talent or professionalism. He is so easy to work with and none of the pictures look posed. My husband and I LOVE the time and care he took to document each moment of our day. I say this, you get what you pay for and Gerard Tomko is worth every penny. I will cherish the beautiful album he put together for my husband and I. It is the only tangible thing we will have to recall the most beautiful day of our lives. No amount of money can compare to that. Thank you Jerry!! I'll let you know when the baby is due!

I feel I should write this in order to clear my name since a few of my clients have decided to drag me though the mud and ruin me .
Yes it is no big secret I have been behind in production for sometime but what no one mentions is that in the middle of wedding season of 2007 I came down with stomach cancer and with subsequent treatments this took me into the middle of 2008. NO I am not looking for sympathy ( as some say), I just stating facts. Being a one person operation, doing everything myself, I fell behind in production, plain in simple, however I never failed to stop working and performing at weddings even through the rigorous treatments I had to undertake. I have never lied to anyone, been rude to anyone on their wedding day, and have never failed to deliver. I take every client one at a time, and to see these malicious attacks on me, my work and my personality really hurts. If I was so rude , how come it has taken all this time to come out in the open? I have been photographing weddings for 28 years and I have never, ever been accused of such blatant lies and malicious verbal attacks until I took ill. Again, it is not an excuse, I am not looking for sympathy, just telling MY side of the story. In 2010, I have photographed a total of 52 weddings all based on referrals, and each and every couple I have photographed, I have explained my situation, where I stand, and how I am moving forward before I have taken one red cent from anyone. The bottom line is I deliver what I have been contracted to , and I have and will NEVER failed to deliver. I have given every one of my couples awesome images, and an unbelievable wedding day experience, and I will never sacrifice the quality of my work for anyone. Thank you for your time and I am proud to say that I have beat cancer.

The rudest person to deal with. He takes your money upfront (big mistake), and then once you've paid, he doesn't deliver what he promises. Jerry is full of excuses, and has the worst customer service. I agree with all the other comments, DO NOT USE THIS PHOTOGRAPHER is you want a good experience for your wedding, and you actually want you pictures.

This was by far the worst part of our wedding experience. Jerry is over-priced, and his photography is mediocre at best. Worst experience we've ever had. He's rude, and we still haven't recieved our albums, and it's been almost a year. If you use him, you are making a big mistake.

I am very confident that any good review is Jerry himself writing, b/c there is no way anyone could possibly like this man, unless you are extremely gullible and fall for his act. Unless you are a bride, who wants all of the attention on your day to be about your "poor photographer", do not use him. BTW- Album still hasnt arrived, 2 yrs later

I feel so lucky and blessed that we found him; I cannot imagine my wedding day without him. Your photographer is with you through all of the stressful parts of the day, and it is important that they can take the photos but also that they have a great personality. On the day of the wedding Jerry was WONDERFUL!!!! He was part of my entourage, right there to help with anything he could and make sure that we were running on time. During the reception he put up the slideshow of some of the pictures from earlier in the day, to give you an idea of how great the photos are four months after our wedding the slideshow link is still being passed from one person to the next and I am still getting e-mails and comments about it. In fact when I see people that were at the wedding it is the most brought up detail from the wedding. Jerry is a joy to work with and his work is beyond wonderful!!!!!

I sympathize with others who have had similar horrific experiences with this photographer. The photographer is very quick to point out tragedies in his life as the reason for not being honest and up front with people. In my opinion this is incredibly sad. I lost my Dad to cancer many years ago and understand first hand the impact any disease has on our lives and the ones we love. However, unfortunately for this photographer, he is still suffering from a disease called lying. For the sake of his future customers, I truly hope he beats this sickness as well. I also find it odd that during his sickness he continued to book customers when he knew how far he was behind in producing albums to customers who already paid for his service. I wonder if he hadn't already been paid for his services if he would have taken so long to produce his finished product??? In closing, I finally received my wedding album after 2 years of waiting and having to get many outside agencies involved. The finished album was very good (after we had to edit the $5,000 in additions he tried to add) but everytime I look at it I can only think of my bad experience with this fraud.

We were so disappointed with our album and the quality of our pictures. Overpriced and average pictures. Many shots we wanted were missing. Rude and awful to work with. Jerry is full of excuses and it took us years to get our album.

I met Gerry last year at a band showcase, where he gave a presentation. I liked his work, but was very put off by his personality. I was considering several photographers, but he would not even give me an idea of his price. (All of the others gave me full package information.) He then continued to e-mail me for a time afterward. I told him who I was going with and the price and he said something like "you just can't get the quality that I deliver for that price.." I was very happy with my decicion to go with Spark Photography, in terms of both quality and price. Bottom line is: know what the contract includes.

While our pictures were beautiful, it was not worth the stress and YEARS of waiting for our pictures. Excuse after excuse, lie after lie. I would not recommend this photographer to anyone. He really had us fooled

Dear Future Brides, Grooms and their Respective Relatives!
Im a former mother of the bride, the bride who is a doctor in her professional life and perfectionist in her personal life. Graduated from private school, Ivy League college and med school, being accomplished pianist and artist, she knew exactly what she wanted from her venders on her wedding day.
Even though our wedding was in May of 2008, our memories about the wedding and about those venders who made it happened as glamorous as it was, are still fresh as it happened yesterday.
Jerry Tomko conquered a special place in our hearts. Knowing how sick he was only couple months before our wedding, knowing through what hell he went afterwards with his chemo treatment, his professionalism, discipline, passion, and quality of work was above and beyond anything we could dream of.
Yes, not all the people could be pleased, but tolerance, patience and dignity suppose to light our lives.
No one knows what challenges we may face in our own lives, and of course, it is much easier to blackmouth somebody than to take a step back and put everything into proportions before trying to ruin somebodys carrier and reputation.

Jerry's photography work is invaluable. He is a very professional, personable individual and although he has gone through a very tough time recently, he was still able to provide my family with one-of-a-kind photos and memories. Everything on the contract was followed completely by BOTH sides. Therefore,we have had NO PROBLEMS with Gerard Tomko Photography and will continue to refer him to others. Jerry you are awesome! Please keep doing what you are doing.

I would like to address the following "complaints". I am Jerry, owner of Gerard Tomko Photography. What these "individuals" fail to mention is that in the summer of 2007 I came down with stomach cancer, 80% of my stomach removed, had 3.5 months of chemo AND 25 radiation treatments which caused me to fall behind! I have been in business for 28 years, and never have I had a period of my life that has been more stressful. But I am cancer free now and moving forward and NOT running from anyone. It is sad that "individuals" are so one sided; my illness had been widely known. However I guess if everyone were caring this place would be a boring place to live. I just feel I need to defend myself! Thank you for listening.

TOMKO PHOTOGRAPHY WOWED US WITH HIS PICTURES OF MY DAUGHTERS' WEDDING. THE PROOFS! WHEN IT CAME TO DELIVERY OF THE $7,000 CONTRACTED AGREEMENT HE DEFAULTED. THE CONTRACT WAS FOR 90 PICTURES IN THE BRIDES ALBUM AND HE SAID NO I MEANT 50 BUT THE CONTRACT READ 90. GOING ON 2 YEARS LATER HE HAS NOT DELIVERED ANY ALBUMS. AS MOTHER OF THE BRIDE I AM HEARTBROKEN. NOT TO MENTION THE $7,000 PACKAGE PRICE. CAVEAT EMPTOR. HE IS A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING.

I can't believe after over a year our family is unable to sit and enjoy the memories of my brother and beautiful new sister-in-law's wedding day. It is such a disappointment to not be able to share family time with their photos. Not sure how this photographer can take people’s money and not deliver the goods! What poor business practices. VERY SAD for this happy couple.

My wife and I contracted Mr. Tomko to photo our wedding on 11/24/07, to date we have not received our albums. Due to Mr. Tomko's inability to provide services already paid for I have had to contact the BBB, the PPA, the WPPI and the PA attorney generals office. To date Mr. Tomko has not returned any correspondences from any of these orginizations.
