We here at PW love, love, love, the playful, gorgeous, short frocks designers are making for spring/summer weddings — and while we realize they’re not for every bride, they’re sure making a splash in local bridal salons. “We’re calling it ‘the 10 o’clock dress,’” says Gia Hoffman, a sales associate at Priscilla of Boston in Wynnewood. “It’s a fearless, fun new bride, and they’re wearing them as a reception dress — they’re just loving to shock all their guests. We get more and more calls about them every day — about 40 percent of the brides who buy dresses from us are calling at least to inquire about them." So tell us, would you rock a short dress for your warm-weather nuptials?

COMMENT:
I am thrilled to be wearing a short dress for my June wedding and reception. The new styles are both sassy and pretty. Even my traditional Mom loves my choice!
