Get Outta Here: Total Relaxation
THE DESTINATION: Elizabeth Arden Red Door Lifestyle Spa, Weston, Florida
WHO SHOULD GO: The bride-to-be craving a moment of calm. HOW BIG YOUR GROUP SHOULD BE: Keep it small, so you and your girls can get manis together and chat comfortably in a sunlit relaxation room. WHAT TO DO: Thorough facials, a full menu of massages ranging from ayurvedic to Swedish, and a specially equipped water treatment room are just a few of the spa’s treatment choices. A full-service salon and schedule of yoga classes will fill the rest of your days. EATING AND DRINKING: Recharge at the spa’s good and good-for-you Bamboo Spa Caf (entrees average $12) or, if your idea of rejuvenating is three courses and a bottle of wine, at Ireland’s Steakhouse (entrees average $38) at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure (see below). SLEEPING: As close as possible to the spa; specifically, next door, in one of the just-renovated suites at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure (bonaventure.hyatt.com). The lobby and expense-account restaurants scream “conference center,” but the well-appointed rooms — and the three pools — are all relaxation. Standard rooms start at $119 a night; suites, $199 a night. Spa and hotel packages start at $3,100 for three nights and eight treatments (reddoorlifestylespa.com). PSST!: The spa will arrange custom “spa-rties” for your gal group, which can include manis and pedis, makeup applications, refreshing mimosas poolside, and body-fat measurements — or not.
