Watch Home Alone With a Live Score By the Philadelphia Orchestra

“I’m eating junk and watching rubbish! You better come out and stop me!”

Don’t think too hard about how Kevin McCallister’s family managed to strand him home alone over Christmas, just enjoy seeing it on the big screen while the Philadelphia Orchestra plays the movie soundtrack live.

Constantine Kitsopoulos leads the orchestra in the score by composer John Williams, who has been writing music for films since 1959. He did the Star Wars and Harry Potter series, Jaws, Superman, E.T., Jurassic Park, and many more — if you can instantly name the movie based off a few bars of the music, Williams probably composed it.

You have three chances to catch Macaulay Culkin booby-trapping Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, this week only: The orchestra is screening Home Alone Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 20th-22nd, at the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall. Tickets are here. Keep the change, ya filthy animals.
