On Monday morning, Theatre Philadelphia announced the nominees for the 2016 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre, and the highly competitive list illustrates just how far our theater scene has come.

As far as theater companies go, the Arden dominated with a whopping 24 Barrymore nominations, but smaller companies came strong, too: Theatre Exile received thirteen nominations. And we see that a lot of our favorite local stage talents are up for big awards as well.

While most of the awards are just about the recognition, four Barrymore awards bring with them real money: Over $75,000 will be handed out this year.

Below, the complete list of 2016 Barrymore Award nominees. Winners will be announced at the Merriam Theater on Monday, October 24th at 7 p.m.
