Garden Sips @ Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens | Wednesday, August 10
If you’re going to subject yourself to the Sips Wednesday happy hour, at least do it in mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar’s labyrinthine gallery/studio, where you can embrace your creative side with arts and crafts projects.

Adnan’s Story @ WHYY | Wednesday, August 10
Rabia Chaudry’s belief in Adnan Syed’s innocence sparked the Serial podcast. Chaudry will talk about her book, Adnan’s Story: The Search for Truth and Justice after Serial, with WHYY reporter Bobby Allyn and the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. She’ll also be signing copies. A book discussion doesn’t quite fit the “arts” theme of this list, but…Serial.

Unlisted @ Icebox Project Space | Thursday, August 11
Unlisted is an art fair broken up into 13 spaces, each set up by a different group of local curators and artists. The opening reception is Thursday but you have until September 10th to check it out.

Straight Outta Oz @ Keswick Theatre | Friday, August 12
American Idol semi-finalist Todrick Hall has performed everywhere from Broadway to MTV to YouTube, where he has over 2 million subscribers. He’s now touring with his own updated version of The Wizard of Oz, which he turned into an autobiographical tale about journeying from his small town in Texas to the big city of Oz Angeles. The cast of fellow Broadway and MTV performers sings 20 original songs.

Boeing Boeing @ Hedgerow Theatre | Through August 21
The Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley is putting on this 1960s French farce about a man with three fiancées who, of course, all show up at the same time.

Public Art Bike Ride @ West Fairmount Park | Saturday, August 13
Meet at Eakins Oval (in front of the Art Museum on the Ben Franklin Parkway) for a free guided bike tour of outdoor sculptures in West Fairmount Park and the Horticulture Center, led by the Association for Public Art. And then cross both exercise and culture off your to-do list.

Broadway Dreams’ Generat10n @ Kimmel Center | Saturday, August 13
Broadway performers are in Philly this week to train a group of aspiring musical theater actors and Genera10n is the result — so you can say you saw these future Great White Way stars here first. Alex Newell from Glee is in the showcase’s lineup.
