Watch City of the Dead in a Cemetery

And more in movies, comedy shows, DNC watch parties and pot parades.

Brian Posehn @ Helium Comedy Club | July 28-30
You know Brian Posehn from The Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central (long before Silverman told Bernie-or-busters they’re being ridiculous from the DNC podium) or from his appearances on Seinfeld, New Girl, The Big Bang Theory and several other sitcoms.

DNC Watch Party @ Schmidt’s Commons | Thursday, July 28
There will be watch parties all over town, but not all of them are across the street from Bar Ferdinand’s presidentially named City Wide specials — like the Andrew Jackson, Kenzinger and whiskey — and classic cocktails, including the “Franklin Pierce (Historically the Drunkest President) Manhattan.” Bring a blanket or chair and settle in to watch the Democratic National Convention’s closing night on the Jumbotron.

DNC Comedy Night @ Plays and Players Theatre | Thursday, July 28
Good Good Comedy is hosting three back-to-back DNC-themed comedy shows. First up is “Electile Dysfunction,” followed by a look into the future with “PeoplePlacesStuff: Decision 2064,” and closing out with the “Party Lines” roundtable with guest Jimmy Dore.

DNC Cannabis Pride Parade @ Broad Street and Oregon Avenue | Thursday, July 28
Don’t be misled; this is not a parade of proud cannabis. But it is a march of pro-legalization folks: “Cannabis consumers, medical marijuana patients, caregivers, hemp farmers, families, friends — anyone who supports reform,” according to the Facebook page. Maybe go here before the comedy show?

Food and Flick Fridays @ The Oval | Friday, July 29
Will Smith will always be ours. Start the evening listening to music from JG of Remote Places and RJD2, followed by an outdoor screening of Men in Black.

City of the Dead @ Laurel Hill Cemetery | Saturday, July 30
Watch a creepy 1960 movie about witches and human sacrifice surrounded by the tombstones of Laurel Hill Cemetery. Boo!
