In an interview on  SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show that was released today, Upper Darby’s Tina Fey finally opens up about who it was that called her the C-word when she was working as head writer on Saturday Night Live. The experience was famously remade years later, when Lutz called Fey’s character, Liz Lemon, the same thing on 30 Rock. It was obvious it was written from a real-life experience, but no one ever knew who she was talking about. Until now.

It was Colin Quinn.

In the interview with Stern, Fey opens up about the experience. At the time, Quinn was working on Weekend Update. “I was trying to help him with a show that he was working on, and I think his anxiety about the writing of the show spilled over,” she told Stern. “It was very random. I was like, ‘What?!’ He left me a message and he said that. … I couldn’t even guess why. Usually, if someone calls you that, you’re like, ‘I know what I did.’”

But she says the two have since made up. “I love him so much,” she said. “We’ve since reconnected, at the SNL 40th, actually, and we’re good. … I asked Colin to be on 30 Rock like three times after that, and he turned us down every time.”
