Bruce Springsteen Playing Wells Fargo Center in February

Along with today’s release of The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced a nine-week long The River Tour that kicks off in Pittsburgh January 16th and makes its way to Philly’s Wells Fargo Center on February 12th.

The original River Tour went from 1980 to 1981 to accompany Springsteen’s famous fifth album of the same name. This newly released box set collection has 52 tracks, including the original album, studio outtakes, tour and rehearsal footage, a new documentary, photos and memorabilia. Clearly, it’s a fan paradise.

Springsteen is a well-established part of Philly music history, as the only artist to perform at every venue in the city. The Wells Fargo concert in February will be his band’s 12th visit to the Center, and recordings of the show will be released some days later online.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, December 11th at 10 am. You can purchase them at the Wells Fargo box office, the ComcastTIX website, or by calling 1-800-298-4200. You can also get the new box set at Amazon
