Philly Boy Band Auditioning on America’s Got Talent Tonight

The Philly area has had no shortage of hopefuls vying for prizes on any number of TV reality/talent shows—from UArts grad Matt McAndrew on The Voice to Collingswood’s Meg Maley, who’s currently fighting to stay in the Big Brother house. After tonight we may have another group of locals to root for, when Philly-founded Christian rock band 3 Shades of Blue (3SB) audition for the judges on America’s Got Talent.

3SB formed in Philadelphia five years ago, and now reside in Glenmoore. The band is made up of 21-year-old twins Jeff and Jesse Allen, their 19-year-old brother Austin and their friend Dean Duncan, who’s 20 years old. They currently have one album out, Try to Fly, which they self-produced and released in 2014. Their sound is mostly Christian rock, and they have performed at churches and festivals up and down the East Coast. Who knows, tonight’s audition may be just the ticket to set them off to stardom. It’ll at least give them more exposure.

Catch their audition tonight on the episode airing from 8 to 10 pm on NBC.
