Tonight Show Taping Cancelled After Jimmy Fallon Hand Injury

If you tune in to The Tonight Show tonight, don’t be surprised if it’s an episode you’ve already seen. CBS News reports that this evening’s taping was cancelled after the show’s host, Jimmy Fallon, suffered a mysterious hand injury and had to be taken to the hospital.

CBS News can confirm that The Tonight Show host had been dining at Scalinatella in New York City on Thursday, one of his favorite restaurants, where he was posing for photos with fans before the accident occurred.

“We don’t know what happened, but Jimmy Fallon eats here often,” restaurant worker Diego tells CBS News, verifying that it was not food or alcohol poisoning that sent him to the ER. “He doesn’t drink so much. Usually just a glass or a half of a glass of wine and enjoys himself.”

A tweet from The Tonight Show verifies that Fallon is “totally fine.” So if nothing else, The Roots will have a nice night off.
