Bradley Cooper Coming to TV in Limitless [UPDATED WITH TRAILER]


UPDATE [5/15/2015, 3:43 pm: The first trailer for Limitless was released today, showing Cooper in the first seconds of the clip—up close and person, baby blues and all—encouraging the protagonist Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) to take the brain-boosting drug NZT. Check it out above. Limitless is slated for a fall 2015 release on CBS.

ORIGINAL: Bradley Cooper is set to play a recurring character in Limitless, the upcoming television series based on his 2011 film of the same name. Deadline reports that he will play sidekick to the character he played in the film, which is now portrayed by Jake McDorman. More on the plot:

Limitless centers on Brian Finch (Jake McDorman), who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them. Unbeknownst to the FBI, Brian also has a clandestine relationship with Senator Edward Mora (Cooper), a presidential hopeful and regular user of NZT who has plans of his own for his new protégé.

Cooper is also serving as executive producer of the project, which is set to air on Tuesdays on CBS this fall.
