It's part of Philly Tech Week, and it's pretty darn cool.

Forget voodoo dolls: How about creating a life-like miniature action figure of yourself and freaking everyone out with your little mini-me? There’s a place in Philly that’s making that (strange) dream come true.

NRI 3DLab, located at 1015 Chestnut Street, is opening their doors April 20th through April 24th for Philly Tech Week to create personalized 3-D printed action figures and busts for anyone willing to undergo the process. The event, aptly called “3-D Print Me Philly,” is open to the public and the 3-D printing possibilities are endless. It’s also the first time Philly Tech Week is hosting a 3-D printing event.

The process takes about a week: Guests will need to go the NRI Lab between 9 am and 5 pm next week to get a “body scan” and select one of three different options for a figurine. It will take a week for the 3D printer to image and process the requests. Once it’s ready, your little doppelgänger will be ready for pick up. The cost is between $25 and $125, depending on which model you select.
