You don’t mess with Stephen Sondheim, the iconic musical theater writer, unless you know what you’re doing. That’s why it’s pretty big news that Bucks County’s own Justin Guarini, best known for his stint on American Idol, will be taking on the monumental role of Bobby in the musical Company at Bucks County Playhouse.

Guarini isn’t a stranger to the Broadway stage: He has appeared in New York productions of WickedAmerican Idiot, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. According to Bucks County Playhouse’s producing director, Alexander Fraser, “Justin immediately came to mind as soon as we entertained the idea of bringing Company to stage at BCP.”

You can catch Guarini and the rest of the cast in Sondheim’s show from May 29 through June 21 at the quaint playhouse in New Hope. For more information, click here.
