LISTEN TO THIS: The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Live Broadcast on Sunday, March 22

Lovers of The Philadelphia Orchestra will have a unique opportunity to listen live to their Sunday, March 22 concert…without having to actually go to the Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall. The Orchestra has teamed up with WRTI 90.1 FM to broadcast their program live on air and via the web.

The Sunday series features Holst’s iconic work The Planets, lead by conductor Gianandrea Noseda. The women of the Philadelphia Singers Chorale will join the orchestra in the score’s final movement, the haunting “Neptune.” Also, master violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg will perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.

Interested listeners can tune to 90.1 FM starting at 2 pm, or they can head over to the WRTI website, where the concert will also be streamed live.
