WATCH: The Roots Back Up ILoveMakonnen On “Tuesday” On The Tonight Show

Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Atlanta hip-hopper ILoveMakonnen (aka Makonnen Sheran) performed his much-raved-about “Club Going Up On a Tuesday” for the first time on television.

Pitchfork gave the tune “Best New Song” status in August, when it appeared on ILoveMakonnen’s latest EP, I Love Makonnen. There’s a remix featuring Drake, and Miley Cyrus has sung the song’s praises, but last night it was Philly’s The Roots who were there to back up ILoveMakonnen for his performance.
