The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon was left without a musical guest yesterday evening, when scheduled performers U2 had to cancel last minute. Bono couldn’t make it because he was in the hospital recovering from an injury he sustained from a cycling accident.) So instead of scheduling another act last minute, Fallon took an even better route: He and his house band—Philadelphia’s The Roots—performed as Bono and U2.

“We already have the best band in the world—The Roots are here every single night,” Fallon said, before slipping into Bono’s glasses and cap and taking to the stage to perform a spot-on cover of U2’s 1988 hit “Desire.” Give it a watch above.
