The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University is introducing a new, monthly science cafe called Tapping Our Watershed. The happy hour lectures will bring together students, citizens, and experts on the third Monday of each month to discuss the Delaware River watershed and aquatic ecology. The first installment will be Monday, November 17th at 6 p.m. at National Mechanics in Old City.

Carol Collier, the Academy’s senior advisor for watershed management and policy, will start off the cafe series with a presentation called “The Future of the Delaware River Basin: Why We Need to Think Holistically.” Her lecture will talk about problems and changes to the region’s water sources, and potential solutions to those problems.

Series attendees must be over 21 (it is at a bar, after all) but if you’re not of age, you can attend with a buddy that’s at least 25. Click here or follow the Academy at @ANSStreamTeam for updates and info.
