Date Set For Love Your Park Fall Service Day

Before the hard winter chill sets in, get outdoors for a special citywide project to clean up our local parks and prepare them for the snowy season. Fairmount Park Conservancy and the Philadelphia Department of Parks & Recreation have scheduled Love Your Park Fall Service Day for Saturday, November 15th.

Volunteers around Philadelphia will take on the more than 70 participating parks to rake leaves, sweep, and plant trees and bulbs. Afterward, the leaves will be used to create mulch and compost for the spring. Wissinoming Park, Cedar Park, Carroll Park, Starr Garden and more are getting an all-day spruce-up.
