It’s a busy day for Jeff Bradshaw: the award-winning trombonist will receive a Proclamation from Mayor Nutter at 6PM, and will serenade a packed house at Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall with a superstar concert at 7:30PM. As if that wasn’t enough for the native Philadelphian, there are some secret guests who will be joining him on stage.
The evening’s concert, titled HOME, is a historic, live-album recording performance that will feature the NAACP Image Award nominee along with artists Trombone Shorty, Take 6, Marsha Ambrosius, Kim Burrell, Najee, Kenny Lattimore, Eric Roberson, and Bilal. However, there are a few special musical guests who haven’t been announced.
(Hint: someone close to the production has disclosed to me that audience members will be leaving Verizon Hall with a new attitude…).
Tickets for the event can be purchased via the Kimmel Center’s website.
