Next Installment of ‘Philadelphia: The Great Experiment’ Airs Thursday

The sixth installment of Sam Katz’s evolving documentary series, “Philadelphia: The Great Experiment,” airs this Thursday, taking us back to a time before Benjamin Franklin, even before William Penn, when the city was forest land inhabited by the Lenni Lenape — the tribe that gave us names like Passyunk and Manayunk and Schuylkill. A Lost World: 1600-1680 then goes on to chronicle the arrival of the Dutch, Swedish and Quaker settlers that kicked off the city we know today.

The episode airs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd, on 6ABC. See a quick promo below, and catch up on previous videos in the series here.
