Prolific Philly-Born Character Actor James Rebhorn Dead at 65


Philly-born actor James Rebhorn passed away on Friday at his home in South Orange, N.J., due to complications from melanoma. He was only 65.

The ultimate “that guy” actor, Rebhorn had a prolific film and television career, appearing in everything from Scent of a Woman and My Cousin Vinny to Seinfeld and most recently Homeland. In the latter, he played Frank Mathison, father to Claire Danes’ C.I.A. agent Carrie Mathison.
