Little Baby's Ice Cream, despite its, um, acquired taste offerings, has more than a cult following. Patrons already love "standard" flavors like Earl Grey Sriracha, but this Friday, you can get limited edition flavors. Bring a cooler, so you can drag home your vats of creamy goodness, in flavors like Tomato and Grilled Cheese, Federal Donut Spiced Pumpkin Latte and Green Apple Garlic. Friday, March 7th, free, Little Baby's Ice Cream, 2311 Frankford Avenue.
Art Garfunkel comes to the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Friday for an intimate evening of anecdotes, prose, Q&A and of course, his inimitable countertenor. As one=half of the beloved pop duo, Simon and Garfunkel, Garfunkel has been at the forefront of Americana for over 40 years, with numerous musical, film, and other generation-defining credits to his name. After taking time off from music due to ailment, Garfunkel returns with a stripped-down, acoustic series. Friday and Saturday, March 7th and 8th, 7:30 p.m., Philadelphia Art Museum, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
The snarling, feminist punk movement that punched, kicked and shredded its way out of the Pacific Northwest (and into our hearts) in the '90s finds a new home at Vox Populi in Chinatown. Its new exhibition, "Alien She" (after the Bikini Kill song), features artifacts of the scene and art inspired by it. Queer and feminist culture come together in this exhibition featuring work from Miranda July and sculptor Stephanie Syyjuco among many other riotous girls (and boys). Learn the history of the zine-wielding, guitar-smashing, gender-bending grrrls and their call to riot, running through March 27th. Friday, March 7th, Vox Populi, 319 North 11th Street.
