Welcome to Ticket!

Welcome to Philly Mag‘s brand new arts and entertainment blog, Ticket. You may recognize the name from the A&E section in the back of our magazine. Those few pages just aren’t enough to cover all the arts-related news and events that land in our inboxes everyday, so we thought we’d branch out, to create this space so it’s easier for you to keep track of all the most fun, worthwhile ways to kick it up in our busy city.

We have lots in store. Just to scratch the surface: Check here first thing every morning for a roundup of things to do that night. Look out for news coverage and concert reviews from Arts Editor Victor Fiorillo (who promises there won’t be a Swiss Cheese Pervert in sight.) We have our eyes on all things film — from new Philly releases to one-off screenings to whatever Bradley Cooper (and his hair) are up to at any given moment. Gentleman paparazzo HughE Dillon will share shots from all those shindigs he snaps around town. And then there’s the local artist spotlights, celebrity interviews, ticket giveaways and tons more.

Keep up with what we’re doing by following our myriad social media profiles, which you can connect to via those handy red links to the right. We also have a newsletter that comes out every Wednesday. You can sign up for that here.

My name is Josh, by the way. I’ll be playing the role of Ticket‘s editor. You can also catch me over on Philly Mag’s LGBT blog, G Philly. Feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions, comments or — most importantly — juicy tips. I’m always on the look out for a good story. My email is jmiddleton@phillymag.com. You can also contact me on Twitter and Facebook. I look forward to being part of this, and hope you’ll have fun following along, too. See ya on the next post!
