HughE Dillon One-Shot: Michael Vick’s New Foundation

Team Vick helps refurbish the Hunting Park Recreation Center.

Yesterday, Michael Vick launched his new foundation, Team Vick, by donating $200,000 to the Hunting Park Recreation Center. The money goes toward a multimillion-dollar project which will make the park better for community members. The initiative is led by the Fairmount Park Conservancy and other athletic organizations including the Ryan Howard Foundation (for the new baseball field at the same park). Later in the day, Vick hosted his first charitable fundraiser at aLoft hotel located next to the Philadelphia airport. Tickets were only $35 for the meet-and-greet with Vick, leaving many Center City offices empty as fans enjoyed their afternoon with the quarterback an some of his teammates, including Kurt Coleman, Brandon Graham, DeSean Jackson, John Dorenbos and new Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Trent Edwards. Q102 and Power 99 hosted a battle of the bands contest, and Angela DiPersia came out on top. She won a weekend of free recording time at Sigma Sound Studios. Here, Vick is being interviewed by Mike Missanelli from 97.5 The Fanatic along with Nina Tiami, PR Director of Aloft Hotel, who co-hosted the event.
