HughE Dillon: Jose Garces Foundation Patron Party

Guests enjoyed good food and the Gipsy Kings at Revel in Atlantic City.

Beatriz Garces, Jose Garces and Kevin DeSantis, Revel CEO, were at the Garces Family Foundation Preview Patron Party at Revel in Atlantic City on Friday night. (The inaugural gala will be held Wednesday, October 10th at the Kimmel Center.) The Garces Family Foundation will support the area’s immigrant population and help to fund healthcare and nutritional programs. Guests enjoyed a concert with the Gipsy Kings, and then everyone headed over to a private reception at Amada.

Below: Wired 96.5’s Chio Acosta and his wife, Shawn Acosta were happy to be supporting such a great cause. Shawn was excited to see the Gipsy Kings as well, telling me that she is 75 percent Gypsy and was ready to rumba.

Below: Chef/owner of Fish in Philadelphia, Mike Stollenwerk, and wife Marilyn D’Angelo Stollenwerk also stopped by the Borgata to visit Michael Schulson at his Izakaya Japanese restaurant before hitting the red carpet.

Below: A.J. Marisco, Annie McCormick, Dave Maser, Allison Young, and Bradley and Pamela Korman all came from Philadelphia for the night to enjoy the event, as well as check out the newest hotspot in Atlantic City, the Revel Resorts pool.

After the concert, everyone headed over to Jose Garces’s Amada restaurant for a bite to eat, and to enjoy Flamenco dancers and Spanish music. Below: Jesmary Sbraga, Jose Garces and Kevin Sbraga.

Below: 6 ABC’s Amy Buckman with husband Terry, and 6 ABC’s Ali Gorman and boyfriend (former Daily News Sexy Single) Joltin’ Joey DeMalavez, of Joltin’ Jabs Fitness Center. (By the way, this year’s new crop of DN Sexy Singles will be feted at a party at North Shores on Thursday night.) Ali and Amy were discussing the over-the-top devotion that Miley Cyrus fans have (the singer/actress is in town visiting fiance Liam Hemsworth, who is here filming the movie Paranoia). I’ve been writing about the fans, on my blog PhillyChitChat.com, and waiting at the sets to get a glimpse of the Disney star. At some point I mentioned that Josh Holloway was also in Paranoia, which is filming in Philadelphia this week at the Kimmel Center, and Joltin’ said to Ali, “Isn’t he your screensaver at work?” Ali then started talking about how great Josh Holloway was and did I have any tips on where she could find him? Well, almost every day he goes to HipCityVeg on 18th Street for dinner.

Below: Munish Narula and Madhu Narula look forward to the Garces Family Foundation launch event in October; their restaurant Tashan will participate. The evening will be divided into two parts: a fanciful dinner with some of Philadelphia’s finest chefs in the Kimmel Center’s new Dorrance H. Hamilton Rooftop Garden at 7 p.m, and a festive, carnival-like atmosphere with live music, flamenco and food in the Kimmel Center lobby, where at 9 p.m., the two parties will converge into one big celebration. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased online.
