HughE Dillon One-Shot: Mondo Guerra at AIDS Walk

Project Runway alums visit Philadelphia for the annual fundraiser

Sunday was as beautiful as a fall day could be as the sun shined brightly on the nearly 15,000 walkers who participated in the 25th Annual AIDS Walk in Fairmount Park, raising $350,000 for the AIDS Fund. I saw many high-school organizations, college kids and families participate. Helping to kick off the event, Mondo Guerra, a contestant in the upcoming “all-stars” season of the hit television show Project Runway (he was in season 8), and fellow designer and show alum Jack Mackenroth made appearances at the walk yesterday to promote the national HIV education campaign Living Positive By Design and help with the calling out of names of those in the Philadelphia area who have died from the disease, including my three close friends, Michael Root, Wayne Cohen and Shawn Conley.
