Maryland Crab, Malt Vinegar, Funnel Cake: Tonight only at Fork
Old City’s Fork is showing off its creativity on Wednesday nights. Every Wednesday, chef de cuisine John Patterson, pastry chef Samantha Kincaid and the entire Fork team are creating special one-night-only menus for $55 per person.
Each week’s menu is guided by a theme or central ingredient; Chef Patterson will change the focus of the menu so that no two meals are ever alike. Tonight’s menu is being described as “fun shore/picnic kind of dream menu.”

Percy Street Barbecue is bringing back its all-you-can-eat ribs every Wednesday night. The $24 deal includes ribs as well as fries, coleslaw and cornbread.
Chef and co-owner Erin O’Shea cures her St. Louis-style pork ribs overnight with sugar and salt before smoking them with red oak and braising with chipotle, root beer and orange juice. When ordered, the ribs hit the grill again to be glazed with housemade Old Faithful barbecue sauce.
Percy did this last year as well, but get this, the price actually dropped $3 per person this year.

The weather still feels like August so Wednesdays may as well bring the same deals. Rosa Blanca Cafe at Dilworth Park is continuing its Center City Sips deals for the next two weeks.
That means $3 beers, $4 wine and $5 cocktails featuring Two Gingers Whiskey. Tonight, the cafe will also have Reggae DJ,Rahsaan Lucas; on Wednesday, September 16th, there will be island sounds of DJ Roger Culture.

Center City Sips, the Center City-wide Wednesday night happy hour officially kicks off on Wednesday, June June 3rd. The weekly deal includes $3 beer, $4 wine, $5 cocktails and half-priced appetizers at more than 80 bars and restaurants.
This week, on Wednesday, May 27th a special kickoff party will be held on the patio bar at the Marathon at 18th and Market. The event will include Sips specials, 2 Gingers tastings, plus music from DJ Royale. Stop by and get a head start on Center City Sips.

The Good King Tavern is back with a second Jardins de Provence wine dinner on Wednesday, May 20th. And the news gets better as the price is dropping from $95 to $65. Granted, the dinner will be a bit less grandiose; four wines, paired by a plate (amuse, opener, entree, dessert), but good food and drink on a Wednesday night is always appreciated.
The Jardins de Provence showcases natural French wines paired with chef Paul Lyons’ cooking. This month Sean Faeth of Artisan’s Cellar and Chloe Grigri of the Good King will be pouring and talking wines.
The dinner will be held at 7:30 pm along the back banquette at a single long table. Reserve your space now.

Pork Belly Bao Buns from Chifa
Every Wednesday night, Bar Volver offers special deals on cocktails, wine and snacks (PDF). And tomorrow, Wednesday, January 14th, Jose Garces’s Kimmel Center bar has a little something special planned.
Volver’s chef de cuisine, Natalie Maronski who was Garces’s chef at Chifa (the Iron Chef’s Peruvian/Chinese mashup), is bringing back some of Chifa’s favorite buns, duck tacos, wings and other dishes for one night.
Happy hour at Volver runs from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and you’ll want to get there early to get a taste of Chifa.
