All good things must come to an end—including, of course, the free yoga series Urban Yoga Philly, which has been keeping us busy on Saturday mornings since June. Just a quick reminder that September 6th will be the last Urban Yoga Philly class of the season.
Calling all yogis: Yoga studio Grace and Glory Yoga is slated to open its new location in South Kensington on September 6th, and you—yes, you!—are invited to the grand opening.
Some of you might already be familiar with G&G: The studio, which also has two locations in South Jersey, has been hosting this summer’s Urban Yoga Philly series in the courtyard of Oxford Mills in South Kensington for the past few months. Oxford Mills also just so happens to be where the new studio will be located, so it only makes sense that the grand opening would coincide with the very last Urban Yoga Philly class of the season.
If you’re heading to Urban Yoga Philly’s first free outdoor yoga class of the summer on Saturday, consider doing some spring cleaning beforehand: Organizers just announced a new partnership with Philly-based nonprofit Clothes-pin, which collects gently-used athletic clothing and sneakers and redistributes them to those in need.
Lululemon’s popular free outdoor yoga series is returning this summer, with freebie yoga June 28th through September 6th. The series first debuted two years ago at the Comcast Center, then moved to the Piazza at Schmidts in Northern Liberties. This summer, you’ll find them in the courtyard of Oxford Mills in South Kensington, a former dye works that’s being converted into a live/work community.
