In what is an act of excellent timing, The Porch at 30th Street Station releases its spring programming lineup on this glorious first day of spring. There’s a whole itinerary of music and theater goings-on, including live dance by MM2 Modern Dance Company, a Clay Studio pop-up and more.

Starting this April, the University City District is expanding its food options at the Porch. Lunch will be served every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with breakfast on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The University City District has issued a request for proposal for mobile food vendors. The proposals are due by January, 31st. UCD is looking for three savory vendors and one sweets vendor for each lunch.

The Porch at 30th Street Station is rolling right on through November with their calendar of food trucks. Every Wednesday and Friday will see the mobile food operations rolling in to provide and serving from 11:30am-2:30pm.
What’s more, they’re also going to be doing Breakfast at the Porch every Monday and Tuesday from 7:30am-2pm throughout November.

The food trucks schedule at The Porch
Imagine a venue with great food, high traffic, ample space, an outdoor patio, and magnificent views of the city skyline and river. A place like that is an impossible find, it’s an ideal to most restaurateurs, and one that’s usually only found in their imaginations. It exists, though, and it’s looking to be filled.
University City District and The Porch at 30th Street is calling all vendors, all mobile eateries, all meals on wheels, to be a part of their upcoming season, to up the ante on a property that has completely revamped itself from a place that once was just a bunch of parking spots. Last year, those that parked at the Porch found themselves in a very lucrative position, both physically and financially. Once a week, in only three hours, 2-4 trucks sold over 250 meals—those are busy-restaurant numbers.

The cabin fever is probably pretty high right now. Roll on over to the Porch at 30th Street Station today for lunch, where Dapper Dog, Lil Dan’s, Nomad Pizza and Spot Burger are all vending.
Come in a costume and get free beverage with the purchase of any sandwich or pizza. And if you are still looking for a costume, Dan McQuade has some quality last minute suggestions.
Looks like the always busy Jose Garces is in town this week for a good cause. This Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Garces and his restaurants will be making an appearance at The Porch at 30th Street Station to support Philabundance. Five of the Iron Chef’s restaurants will be represented at The Porch. For a $10 donation to Philabundance event goers will be treated to samples from Amada, Chifa, Distrito, Guapos Tacos, and JG Domestic. What’s more, Garces himself will be doing a cooking demonstration at the event from noon to 1 p.m.
