Riley Cooper made his return, and Phillip Hunt has been nearly phased out. Here’s a breakdown of snap counts for the Eagles during their Week 6 loss against the Lions.
All eyes in Detroit are on safety Louis Delmas, who has yet to play this season after undergoing a knee procedure back in August. He sat out of practice Friday after being listed as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday.
Jeremy Maclin returned to the practice field Monday after missing last week’s game against the Cardinals with a hip injury.
Maclin’s absence was very much felt in the 27-6 loss in Arizona. Michael Vick, under constant pressure and struggling with his reads, could have used a safety blanket like Maclin on the outside.
It appears the receiving corps is on the mend. Riley Cooper also practiced Wednesday. Cooper, who is recovering from a fractured collarbone, said last week that he was targeting the Giants game for his return.
As Andy Reid stated, King Dunlap (hamstring), Akeem Jordan (hamstring), Jon Dorenbos (ankle) and Colt Anderson (knee) did not suit up Wednesday. One name not mentioned by the coach earlier in the day was Fletcher Cox, who appeared to be just a spectator at practice. Cox missed part of Sunday’s game because of a migraine.
As we mentioned earlier, Jeremy Maclin did not practice today.
Meanwhile, safety Kurt Coleman (facial lacerations), wide receiver Riley Cooper (fractured collarbone) and cornerback Curtis Marsh (hamstring) were limited. Andy Reid has already ruled Cooper out for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. Coleman was in the locker room before practice and sounded like he fully expected to play.
Nate Allen left Flight Night with an injury to the same right hamstring that sidelined him earlier in camp. The safety described it as more of a spasm than a tweak and expects to be ready to go within a couple days.
“It’s nothing,” said Allen. “It’s not even close to how it was in training camp.”
Allen wasn’t scheduled to play in the regular season finale against the Jets regardless.
