The Third Thursday Live and Local series is bringing local musicians to the beautiful Race Street Pier to play free shows. Tonight, from 7-10 p.m., they’ll be having a psych rock night with Philly legends Bardo Pond, Quentin Stoltzfuz from Mazarin in their new band, Light Heat, and Chris Forsyth. The event will feature free beer from Philadelphia Brewing Company and they’ll be hosting a contest to give away tickets to the upcoming Flaming Lips and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ shows.
Come, say hi, bring food, friends, blankets and enjoy the night.
On Wednesday, June 19th the Delaware Waterfront Corporation is hosting its Race Street Pier Promenade. The $150 ticketed event benefits arts programming on the waterfront and will feature fireworks, plus live music by PhillyBloco and food and drink from some of Philadelphia’s best restaurants.
