Rocky’s iconic ascent up the Art Museum steps would look far different now than it did back in 1979. For starters, he’d have to bob and weave his way up to avoid bumping into the countless Lululemon-clad fitness junkies for whom the steps serve as a year-round outdoor gym. If you haven’t embraced the steps yet, you should — if not for muscle tone, then at least for the unparalleled views. Here are the season’s top fitness classes at the iconic spot, perfect for Art Museum addicts and wannabe stair masters alike.
First, Honeygrow and Philadelphia Runner teamed up for their free summer workout series, and now Snap Kitchen and Weston Fitness are hopping aboard the sweat-then-refuel workout-series train. The more the merrier, we say! Read more »

Lately, the weather has been like a flaky Tinder date. One minute, it’s sunny and warm and the next, it’s cold and isn’t answering your texts. Okay, maybe the ghosting-on-texts part doesn’t apply, but the cold definitely does. This week alone, the temperatures are supposed to flip-flop between the 40s and the 70s. Just as confusing as your last Tinder fling, right?
But the first day of spring is just 13 days away (!!), which means that temperamental weather should soon — hopefully! — be a thing of the past, with warm temps here to stay through September or so. Below, 13 reasons we can’t freakin’ wait for warm weather in Philly. If you’ve got reasons to add, list ‘em off in the comments! Read more »
Newsflash: We’ve only got nine more days of winter, people! Spring is a comin’ — on March 20th, to be exact — and I, for one, could not be more excited for the warm weather it’ll bring with it. Just about every single day of this dreadful season we call winter, I say to anyone who will listen, “If we lived somewhere warm, we could be doing [insert fun outdoor activity here] right now. Ughhh, winter!” And I’m sure I’m not alone.
But with spring headed our way, soon we’ll all be able to start checking things off the long list of activities we’ve been talking about wanting to do for months, from hiking in the Wissahickon to playing frisbee down the Shore to picnicking anywhere we can lay a blanket down.
Below, 13 reasons we here in Be Well Philly Land are so freakin’ excited for warm weather in Philly. Read more »
