Tim Spinner is offering a four course Day of the Dead tasting menu for $29. It begins with tamal de rana (slow braised frogs legs and green chili), moves to cemita sliders, then pork cheek mole coloradito with blue cheese grits and mustard greens, finally ending with traditional pan de muerto. At Cantina Feliz, the $28 menu (with the option to add a beverage pairing for only $12 more) is completely different and looks equally tasty. Suburban Snacks: Main Line Gets New Brunch, Cheese Dinner; Barbecue for Collingswood

Paramour in the Hotel Wayne debuts brunch this Sunday. Served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will also be a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar.

Little Louie’s Barbecue opened yesterday in Collingswood. The former 505 Prime is serving up barbecue styles from across the US. We’re looking forward to trying cherrwood smoked duck, smoked buffalo sausage and brisket empanadas. [The Insider]

Suburban Snacks: New Bakery, New Brewery

French Culinary Institute graduate Chef Lila Colello has opened Brulee Bakery, an online operation that provides fresh baked goods and desserts to the Philadelphia area. Every Saturday Colello materializes out of the online world and makes an appearance at the Overbrook Farms Farmers’ Market at Lancaster and City Avenue. The new Tröegs Brewery in Hershey is already brewing beer. Monday saw the opening of the retail store and next Monday should see the opening of the tasting bar. Bryan Kolesar shares more in his exclusive tour. [Brew Lounge]

Suburban Snacks: Patio Construction in Downingtown, Milepost Pub at Whole Foods, New in Ambler, Wayne and Willow Grove

Construction is continuing at Downingtown’s Avalon Pasta Bistro. The second restaurant from John Brandt-Lee who also owns Avalon in West Chester is slated to open later this Spring. Pictured above is the foundation of the restaurant’s forthcoming patio.
