University City Shake Shack Gets Opening Date

As if news of getting a Federal Donuts was enough for one day. Now University City finds out that its Shake Shack will open on Friday, October 11th at 11 a.m. The Chestnut Square location (3200 Chestnut Street) is the second location in the area for Danny Meyer’s burger chain. A third location will open later this month in King of Prussia. but an exact date has not been determined.

Beau Monde Owners Bid On Central Park’s Famed Tavern On the Green

New York City’s Department of Parks and Recreation is currently accepting bids for a 20-year license to operate a bar and restaurant on the site of the former Tavern On the Green, which for the majority of the 20th Century was a prime destination dining spot in Central Park but later became known as a bankrupt tourist trap.
