Look Into the Puppies’ Eyes: You Will Buy This Dentist’s House

0000000
Listing photos usually focus on views and landscaping and professional staging. Not this Collegeville home. Here the owners go straight for the literal puppy-dog eyes. Please buy this house, they say. Look at that lush lawn out backThere is even a stream. We like to chase squirrels there.

The home hardly needs the hard sell. Built in 1962 by “Dentist Dr. Larson,” the home has been fully renovated. Since 2003! The kitchen especially boasts gourmet upgrades: cherry cabinets, Viking and Bosch appliances and a breakfast nook with built-in benches. So comfythey say. Very warm. The main level also features three bedrooms and two full baths.

Zoë’s Opens Four More Suburban Philadelphia Locations

zoes kitchenZoë’s Kitchen — the Mediterranean-inspired chain restaurant where most of the food is grilled — already had three local spots (Collegeville, Marlton and Newtown) when it opened yet another outpost in the Greater Philadelphia market in May of this year in Bryn Mawr. That must have worked out because there are now four more to come: Malvern, Willow Grove, Cherry Hill and Wayne. It seems people like grilled food — especially when someone else is manning the grill.

Appalachia Comes East

Well Appalachia doesn’t really come east but the fourth establishment of the Appalachian Brewing Co. has landed in Eastern Pennsylvania. Opening last Thursday, the Collegeville location isn’t brewing its own beer quite yet but that doesn’t mean there isn’t beer to drink and food to eat.

Appalachian Brewing Company opened its first location in Harrisburg back in 1997. Collegeville  joins Harrisburg, Camp Hill and Gettysburg as locations of the brewpub chain.

Check out Jack Curtin’s rundown for more information.
