For a splurge-worthy gift, opt for 3.1 Phillip Lim’s white leather and leopard-print satchel, which pairs functionality (side zips expand the bag’s size; a detachable shoulder strap allows for easy slinging over the shoulder) with just-splashy-enough style. It’s roomy enough to carry her essentials, but not so big that it becomes cumbersome. In short: If you’re going to buy a bag, better go for this one.

The Details: 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel handbag, $950 at Knit Wit, Rittenhouse and Bryn Mawr.

Give To: Your wife.

There are few scarves that really catch my attention. (I’m more of a fur collar gal.) But these Into Green pieces are to-die-for—the perfect mix of cozy and graphically chic.; I adore the cross patterns. Each one is made from recycled Fruit Of The Loom t-shirts, and they are some of the softest, warmest scarves I’ve worn. Bonus: They’re machine-washable, too, and each one comes packaged up by Zinc in an adorable roll, tied up with a square of burlap and fastened with an oversized safety pin. Go bright and colorful for her, or stick with black and gray for him. Either way, it’s a win.

The Details: Into Green scarves, $65 each at Zinc Home + Garden, Lambertville.

Give To: Your boss.

How to fake a supremely thought-out, custom-designed gift a mere three days before Christmas? Head to Commonwealth Proper’s newish studio at 19th and Chestnut (you’ll want to call first)—or visit them online—and spring for one of the company’s off-the-rack pieces. While the majority of the menswear company’s offerings is bespoke, you can find a few ready-to-wear gems, like this cotton twill blazer, made right here in Philly. The lightweight, unstructured jacket is polished but casual; he’ll want to pair it with jeans. And when he asks if it was made-to-measure, just smile and don’t reveal a thing. (Oh, and a tip: CP’s ready-to-wear line runs a bit smaller than their custom-made pieces, so opt for one size larger than normal.)

The Details: Cotton ready-to-wear blazer, $385 at Commonwealth Proper, Rittenhouse.

Give To: Your boyfriend.

When it comes to most candles, saying you can reuse the jar is akin to telling a bridesmaid she’ll be able to re-wear her bridesmaid dress. You just can’t. But Jonathan Adler’s Muse D’Or candle—in a surrealist gold glazed ceramic vessel—is the equivalent of a ridiculously flattering and actually cute bridesmaid dress: You’ll totally use the pot again (can you imagine how gorgeous a flower arrangement will look in it?). Which makes the pink pepper and sage balsam scent just a bonus.

The Details: Muse D’Or candle, $78 at Jonathan Adler, Old City.

Give To: Your mother-in-law.

For about a decade, Bath & Body Works took over the gift-giving world, especially when it came to stocking stuffers. Now, the bath gifts have grown up, and gotten way cooler in the process. Instead of Juniper Breeze shower gel, wrap up bars of Duross & Langel’s handcrafted soaps, which not only come in gorgeous colors, but amazing scents like peppermint oatmeal, chocolate cherry, buttercream and pumpkin oat. To really get festive, spring for the gingerbread men bars, which might even get kids to start loving bath time.

The Details: Handcrafted soaps, $7.50 each at Duross & Langel, Midtown Village.

Give To: Everyone! These are winning stocking stuffers.

Because every single one of your girlfriends has approximately 423 throw pillows, I advise you to give them a cheeky, adorable doll instead. Scarlett Alley stocks the Late Greats line of plush, 12-inch-tall dolls, all featuring original illustrations of famous figures, from Frida Kahlo to Gandhi. There’s Abe Lincoln for your history buff pals, Coco Chanel for your fashion-savvy friends, Albert Einstein for the brainiacs, Jane Austen for the bookworms, and Freddie Mercury for, well, everyone. (Who doesn’t love Freddie Mercury?)

The Details: Late Greats dolls, $42.95 each at Scarlett Alley, Old City.

Give To: Your girlfriends.

It’s admittedly a bit unconventional , but we promise you’ll get more use out of it than you’d ever imagined. Terrain’s iron fire pit bowl is simple in design, easy to use and small enough (11 inches high, 30 inches in diameter) to fit in sprawling suburban backyards or tinier city patios. Throw a few rough wood benches or low-slung chairs around it, bring out the wool blankets, and host your next winter soiree—or cozy date night—around a roaring fire, complete with roasting marshmallows and mugs of hot chocolate, naturally.

The Details: Iron Fire Pit Bowl, $448 at Terrain, Glen Mills.

Give To: Your husband.

There are plenty of wallets out there. Trust me, I know: I was on the hunt for a non-George-Constanza-like model for my husband for months. This time, I accompanied another Philly Mag editor (who shall remain nameless, in case her significant other happens to read this blog!) on her search for the perfect wallet for her guy. Two stores in, and we were still empty-handed. Then we stumbled across this Will model at Boyds, which—bonus!—comes with its own leather change tray. The leather is just worn in enough, and it’s roomy without being bulky. (We made the friendly salesman slip it into his front and back pockets to make sure it fits comfortably, and it does.) Better yet, Boyds tucks it into a gift box, complete with tissue paper and a gold ribbon, so you don’t even have to worry about wrapping.

The Details: Will wallet and change tray, $110 at Boyds, Rittenhouse.

Give To: Your husband—or your dad.

Confession: I recently spent an entire afternoon with my little cousins playing with their Rainbow Loom, weaving impossibly tiny rubber bands into bracelets. The Rainbow Loom trend isn’t dying off yet, but even a 10-year-old needs some variety in her bracelet stack. Enter Serefina’s adorable brass bracelet, adorned with a festive pom-pom. These baubles are cute enough for the littlest fashionista (and wallet-friendly, too), but also cool enough for adults to wear (I’d stack it with my gold bangles). Which brings me to confession #2: I also desperately want this. If only to wear with my Rainbow Loom bracelets. (Hey, I spent hours making them!)

The Details: Serefina single pom-pom bracelet, $40 at Aoki Boutique, Rittenhouse.

Give To: Your niece/cousin who is obsessed with Rainbow Looms.
