Bud and Burgers Happy Hour Calendar: Where To Get (Discounted!) Budweiser and Burger Specials This Week

From John and Abigail Adams to Jay-Z and Beyoncé, the power couple is a storied partnership of our nation’s past. But allow us to champion a personal favorite: a refreshing Budweiser beer and a juicy burger. Each component is a summer standout on its own, but when served together, they’re an unbeaten amalgamation of smooth-meets-savory flavors. So to celebrate this storied duo, Budweiser is joining forces with local restaurants for a series of Bud-and-burger happy hours where each participating restaurant will put its own spin on the special. Then, diners are invited to compete on social media for a sweet prize package (think: Made in America and Eagles tickets). Here, the first five restaurants up to bat.

Hop Angel Brauhaus, July 23, 5pm to 7pm

A German-American bar and restaurant nestled in Fox Chase, Hop Angel Brauhaus will be slinging a $15 special that includes a Budweiser 12-ounce bottle and “The Burgermeiser Meisterburger,” an 8-ounce burger (ground short rib, sirloin, chuck) topped with black forest ham, smoked gouda cheese, fried egg, crispy onions and their signature “hab” sauce, all on a brioche bun. 7980 Oxford Avenue, Fox Chase.

Ron’s Original Bar & Grille, July 23, 6pm to 8pm

Open for 25 years, Ron’s Original Bar & Grille is an Exton mainstay and local hotspot for live music on the weekends. Swing by on Thursday for a $3 Bud bottle paired with a specialty burger. The restaurant is touted for using healthful options whenever possible, so you can swig happily. 74 East Uwchlan Avenue, Exton.

The Parish Pub, July 24, 5pm to 7pm

The fan-favorite pub is serving up a flavorful fusion that includes chorizo and black angus beef patty topped with a hot pepper and onion salsa, pork roll bacon and steak, queso fresco and a Valentina cream sauce. The $8 special is accompanied by a 16-ounce can of Budweiser. So simple, so delicious. 3510 Cottman Avenue, Mayfair.

Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse, July 28, 5pm to 7pm

Located steps away from Rittenhouse Square, Irish pub Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse will be grilling “The Cav.” What it is: locally-sourced ground beef, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, sugar-cured bacon, Cavanaugh’s sauce, Bibb lettuce and tomato. Best served with beer. 1823 Sansom Street, Rittenhouse.

Hawthorne’s, July 29, 4pm to 6pm

There are cheeseburgers and then there are gnocchi mac ‘n cheese burgers. The latter of which is surely a gastronomic gift from the gods. From 5pm to 6pm, Hawthorne’s will serve a house-blend burger sandwiched between two thick slices of Amish white toast, topped with a Parisian gnocchi “mac and cheese” drizzled with truffle oil and slathered with Hawthorne’s chipotle aoili. Afterward, wash down that salivation-worthy plate with a cold Bud. Repeat if necessary. 738 South 11th Street, Bella Vista.
