WE ASK THE EXPERTS
Q/A with the Experts
Q: I'm inviting over 100 people to the 50th wedding anniversary party being thrown for my parents, from their infant and tween grandkids to their close (and somewhat older) friends. How can I make this party fun for guests of all ages?

-Christine, Newtown Square

A: Kathleen Kelly, Finley Catering: Display pictures from their wedding day, and collect photos taken through the years of their friends, children, and grandchildren. Put these in a slideshow with background music of your parents' favorite songs. Guests will love it and the grandkids will get a kick out of seeing their grandparents "back in the day."

A: Jake Miller, Lucien's Manor: Hire a DJ who has experience in all genres of music.

A: Nick Waller, Radisson Hotel Valley Forge: Have a separate buffet set up about two feet off the ground, with foods such as chicken fingers for the kids. For the adults, try placing mashed potatoes in martini glasses and have toppings such as bacon, sour cream, pesto and chives for people to mix into it. It's fun and interactive.
