WE ASK THE EXPERTS
Q/A with the Experts
Q: My fiancé and I want to go the DIY route for our wedding-both because we want to put our own touch on our special day, and because we want to trim costs. What projects should we take on ourselves, and what should we leave to the experts?

-Michelle, Collingswood

A: Nick Waller, Radisson Hotel Valley Forge: Let the experts do the cooking, unless it's something like a beautiful display of cookies made with a family recipe. Tabletop decor, and favors are all projects couples can work on in advance.

A: Hillary Lutz, Estia Restaurant: One major cost is the floral arrangements. Why not try making these yourself? Scout flea markets and antique stores for vintage vases, and fill them with seasonal flowers purchased from local markets. Leave the bouquets to the professionals, as these are more complicated to take on.
