Shop These 10 Philly Stores From the Comfort of Your Couch

Ten of the best ways to shop local without stepping outside.

Online-Shopping

Shop goods from Terrain, Third Street Habit, Ubiq and P’s & Q’s.

Shopping local sounds nice, but shopping online can be a heck of a lot more convenient. (See: the current weather.)  But local boutiques — often the ones who lose out in the great online vs. brick-and-mortar battle — are increasingly whipping their stock into virtual shape, curating online stores that let you shop local without having to leave your house. Here, the Philly shops that offer the best online shopping.

1. P’s & Q’s
This edgy men’s shop has a surprisingly vast online selection, which includes clothing, shoes, wallets, bags, socks, sunglasses, tech goods and grooming gear from more than 40 brands.

2. Third Street Habit
This Old City shop just stocked its site with very new, very tantalizing spring arrivals, which share virtual rack space with Pamela Love jewelry and Clare V. clutches.

3. Duross & Langel
The newly revamped online store of this Midtown Village bath and body shop is well-organized and well-stocked. Buy yourself everything you need — scrubs, bath bombs, body lotions, sweet-smelling soaps — for the best bath time and smoothest skin ever.

4. South Moon Under
The online counterpart of this boutique is huge. Categories — women’s, men’s, swim, jewelry, home and shoes — include hundreds of well-priced fashion buys and accessories (a graphic Mara Hoffman beach towel, perhaps?). Don’t miss the sale section.

5. Beans Beauty
Because sometimes you need a quick beauty fix, there’s this locally owned quartet of stores, which has a seriously stocked e-store. You’ll find enough nail polishes, hair tools, makeup, skincare, and bath and body products to fill every makeup drawer in your house.

6. Ubiq
For true sneakerheads, this Walnut Street store has an awesome online selection of sneakers, streetwear and accessories — ranging from sporty to completely modern — from brands like Nike, Asics, Saucony and Vans.

7. Art Star
The online shop of this NoLibs brick-and-mortar boutique is like a very curated, very cool, easily navigable version of Etsy. Click around and find handmade goods like ceramics, art, greeting cards and other I-can’t-believe-someone-actually-made-this items.

8. Scarlett Alley
The Old City store is jam-packed with anything you could ever want to give as a gift, and it’s all online: dishware and other tabletop goods, bath and body goods, jewelry, kid’s toys and home accessories.

9. Terrain
It’s not quite a boutique, but the Glen Mills home and garden store — part of the Anthro/Urban/Free People family — is like having Martha Stewart’s stash of home, kitchen and landscaping goods at your fingertips.

10. Omoi Zakka Shop
This lifestyle store stocks modern desk accessories, jewelry, home accessories and more, and you’ll want it all, from the necessary (a smart spring planner) to the, well, not (sticky notes shaped like cherry blossoms!). Bonus: Locals can shop online and pick up in-store.
