10 Best Store Return Policies in Philly

It happens: You’re in the store and you fall in love with the perfect sweater … only to realize a few weeks later that it makes you look like a sack of potatoes. Most people don’t even bother trying to return unwanted garments because they know it’s going to be a huge hassle. But that doesn’t hold true for every store. So we saddled up and searched for the stores with the best return policies in the area, and here’s the top ten stores we found. Say goodbye to buyer’s remorse.

1. MAC Cosmetics, Market East

• If you are ever unhappy with a purchase, you can return the unused portion for a full refund.

2. Century 21, Market Street

• If you have the receipt, you can return something within 45 days. Don’t worry too much if you’ve already removed the tag.

3. Athleta, Walnut Street

• Even if you’ve worn the clothing, you can return it anytime within 45 days after your purchase with a receipt.

4. Lululemon, Walnut Street*

• If at anytime you are unhappy with the clothing’s performance, bring it back to the store and they will either refund you or let you exchange it for something different.

5. Sephora, Chestnut Street

• If you have your receipt, you have 60 days to return the item for a full refund, no questions asked. Within 61-90 days after your purchase, you can still return the item for a store credit. (Even if you’ve tried the product and didn’t like it!)

6. Bed Bath & Beyond, Cherry Hill

• At any time, you can return your purchase. If you have a receipt, they’ll give you a full refund. Without a receipt, you still get store credit.

(Our own Victor Fiorillo can attest to this: “They pretty much  won’t refuse a return. I had a show at PAFA last year, and I needed some auxilliary lighting for it. Bed, Bath & Beyond had these cool bright battery-powered LED fixtures. I bought like $400 worth of $10-$20 lighting fixtures and walked out with bags and bags of lights. I then opened all of them, used all of them, and brought them back for 100 percent refund.”)

7. Nordstrom, Cherry Hill

• If you have the receipt and original tags, you have 90 days to return unwanted purchases.

8. Anthropologie, Walnut Street

• If you have the receipt and tags, return it at any time.

9. South Moon Under, Chestnut Street

• Full refund within 60 days with receipt and attached tags.

10. Club Monaco, Walnut Street.

• You have 60 days to return purchases with a receipt and tags for full refund or exchange. Within 61-90 days, you receive store credit for current selling price.
